Yankee all night!

I recently got interested in scented candles after we moved to our own home.  I'd plan to buy but don't have time to window shop yet cos of the unpacking, cleaning, arranging things and all,  and above all the holidays.

I find the good or probably the best ones are expensive.  I heard that not all scented candles have good scent through and through.  Others smells burnt candles.

Luckily, it was so timing that we received a Christmas gift from a good couple friend of ours.  A candle warmer and large jar of Yankee candle, November Rain as the scent.

The Aurora Candle Warmer Lamp™ is a revolutionary new concept to the candle warming industry. With a patented soft halogen light the Aurora Candle Warmer Lamp creates the ambiance of a burning candle releasing the candle’s fragrance within minutes. All lamps are paired with a frosted white shade.

Made in China.

A rainy fall day stirs up many emotions, as does this intoxicating, masculine, and moody fragrance with deep watery notes. In it, you'll discover the quiet interlude of the season reflected in an airy, refreshing mix of watery leaf notes, warm amber and crisp, brisk air. All perfectly suited for cozying up inside and watching the rain from your window.

The traditional design of our signature jar candle reflects a warm, relaxed sense of style that's always at home. Convenient and easy to use...

I assembled the warmer lamp by myself.  I usually ask my hubby to do this.  But, this morning, I got too excited and I want to use it later ;-)  By the way, I tried it for a few minutes if the lamp works and if the candles really melts - it did and smells good.

That would be all for now.  Excited for laters...hihi ;-))

Merry Christmas!!!

My family and friends enjoyed making the color a cookie snowmen kit I bought few days ago.  I believed this was the last item available in our nearby grocery store.  A great last minute idea for Christmas activity ;-)

Happy Holidays to all!!! ;-)

Flashback Monday: Pirate Ship Cake

About a year ago, I made a special birthday cake for my friend's son.  The theme was pirate.  She send me photos of what the cake should look like.  This was a huge challenged for me cos I'm not really good at this. However, I gave my heart and time in making this cake.  I even cried cos I was really afraid that it will not turn nice.  No worries no tears fell on the cake.  At first, I felt satisfied and proud of what I've accomplished.  My kids liked it.  They said it was nice, even my other friends said that.  I've heard congratulatory remarks :-P   Sadly, I felt less appreciated by the one who requested it...I dunno.  On a side note, I didn't even charged her cos at first when she asked me to, she asked for a charged. Since then, I wasn't inspired anymore to make theme cake :-(

I browsed a lot of pirate ship cake in google and pinterest of how I would go about it.  And here's the result of my hard work :-P

My friend was the one who prepared the paper flag / paper standing.  According to her, it was his son's choice. Oh well...

P.S. the images were just a phone shots.
