My Specially Made Planner for 2016

The year end is very near, this quarter starts the hunt for planner enthusiasts.  Whence, I've been stalking for planners.  I checked online for new items even in bookstore, kikki K, Made with Love to name a few.  To be honest, I really find kikki K planners stunning.  What's holding me back is their inserts cos I will not use everything and I will end up spending more.  Well my dream planner up to now is Filofax, darn expensive yet I know it is worthwhile.  I like the Filofax inserts too.  What I use this year (even last year) is Webster's Pages Color Crush Planner.  The Webster's is love as well as their inserts - love love love!!  My current planner is just a personal size.  For next year,  I want to go back to A5 size.  Having said that, for sure I will spend more and having a second thought of buying a real planner since I only use it at home.

For that reason,  I decided to try personalized planner instead.  In our nearest bookstore, a 2-ring binder are the only available and their designs are usually plain.  With limited choices and what not, I am still pleased with everything I bought.

The 2-ring binder are so cheap as well as the inserts like  dated weekly inserts, 12-months divider also dated, today ruler / book mark, and index tabs.   I also added PVC zipper bag and PVC name card /credit card  holder.  What's more,  I included PVC binding cover so I can add a DIY dashboard.  I even bought a 2 folds world map hihi.  For the said supplies, it only cost me less than S$30 :-)  I didn't include directory inserts cos I don't use them at all.  I don't have yet notes or any A5 stationary, but surely I will add those too.  I still have to check if I have A5 paper on hand for "notes / plan it" so I can just recycle.

I could go with my plain folder but I got too overwhelmed so I also bought scrap-booking supplies and cover.  The good thing is, I can still change my cover design in the future, yeah!! hehe

The book mark / my book mate is just a recycle, I thought it's cute ;-p

I've also design the back of my folder :-))

tada!! dashboards!! wooh!!

In terms of designing pages of inserts, I'm not really crazy over that yet cos mostly based on my last years, our schedules' full (prolly my planner don't have enough space to write at) ;-P  I write down not only my schedule but my kids as well.  I even write notes for my hubby, for reference.  Actually, I find stickers and whatnot very cute but I don't buy them cos I really find them all expensive and I'm not good on crafts, sad.  At the moment, I go for old magazines,  cut out that I find interesting and that's what I paste on my planner.  What I am actually fond of are the clear stamps, classic cute wooden stamps and craft punch.

I am not done yet, I fell in love with this birthday and cupcakes scraps.  I plan to cut this and make a divider / book mark for my birthday reminder.  I haven't touch it yet cos I would like to laminate first before punching holes but we don't have laminating machine.  I'll think about it first.

Personalizing your planner never ends as you add more inserts, scraps and the like.  I also plan to make a DIY pocket inserts when I have time.  I will post images here for updates.

I hope you like the personalized planner and you can really save money on doing so.

'Til next time, thanks!!

Althea and Laneige BB Cushion appreciation...

Only later this year that I got my full attention with BB Cushions.  I am  loyal to Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, cos I love the coverage it gives me and don't experience any skin problem.  Only, I get my hormonal monthly zits.  I didn't jump to BB cushion craze as I find it expensive.  More so, I don't know the right shade for me.  Sadly, I tried to ask from the beauty shops with BB cushions but I was afraid they still give me the wrong shade.  So I did a lot of research, read reviews, comparisons and watched YouTube videos.

While doing my research, I got lucky to stumble an online Korean shop Althea.  At the beginning, I was surprised to see the prices, as they give a huge discount on their products.  The usual, I checked their reviews and testimonials if they really deliver authentic products and not a spam.

The next thing, yeah I ordered!! Wooh!!.  It was like, I ordered Tuesday afternoon and the package arrived on Saturday morning!!

Lovely packaging, right?

So here, I ended up buying Laneige Pore Control and Innisfree Long Wear  BB Cushions, both SPF 50+ PA++ in C21.  Majority says that Laneige and Innisfree BB's are apt for humid countries.  Although these two are both different, like Laneige Pore Control is best for normal skin and gives dewy look whereas Innisfree Long Wear Cushion is best for oily skin and gives matte finish.  Well, I do have normal skin though I get oily on my T-zone.  Nevertheless, I wanted to try both :-P.

As of the now, I'm only using Laneige Pore Control.  I like it, actually.  I almost use it everyday on my face and neck.  The Laneige C21 has a medium to full coverage.  I got the right shade, yehey!!   On my first try, I applied generous amount that it turned out to be cakey and dry,  not dewy.   So I just realized I don't need this type of coverage.  I should have bought the N21 that stands "natural" instead.  Hence, I use it sparingly so I can get light coverage.  Otherwise, I feel it also gives me white cast and I don't want that either.    And I tried to avoid the eye area especially my under-eye bags cos it looks patchy and dry as well.  Apart from, it gives me dewy look.  When I don't powder my T-zone, I still get oily after few hours when I am outdoor.  Compare to my regular foundation, I noticed that I tend to be more oilier than Laneige.  On the other hand,  when I do powder my t-zone, it gets slightly oily, which is pretty decent.   On a side note, I find the puff  is darn hard to clean which is time consuming.    I wash it once a week.  In addition, I think the 15g will only last me for at least 3 months, even use lightly.   On top of everything, I find that I missed my monthly zits, my second month of using it.

Btw, I will try to update once I tried the Innisfree Long Wear ;-)
Besides, I plan to order Iope and Hera cushions (not very) soon.  I am itching to try them :-))

Above all, the products I received are legit and you know, the manufacturing date are very brand-new stocks!!

Knee pain, no more!!

I missed my home workout for over a month due to knee injury.  Early July at Guardian store, I stumbled upon the shelf area for joint pain meds and the like.  Others meds are expensive to me.  I ended up buying the Guardian's Effervescent Glucosamine 1500mg.  The claim, "helps reduce joint stiffness and aids joint mobility."  I did only a quick research while in store and learned that Glucosamine helped in joint stiffness etc and the recommended dosage is 1500mg per day.  I wanted to try first so I just bought the 15 tabs.  Wow, it took only a few days...no pain on my knees!! It's gone!!  I take it everyday and the lemon flavor is good.

I am still lazy to do home workout, as I plan to do low impact only. Then this past few days, I tried only few minutes of planking :-P.  My knee hurts while doing it but afterwards, there's no pain even when going down stairs.

I've read other brands efficacy.  However, I also learned that when they stop taking med,  the pain comes back.  Anyways, I still plan to buy another batch, same brand. I will just play it by ear.

All I need now is motivation to get back on working out, take advantage of the pain free :-D

Hay, why it's so hard to workout!!! Wahaha!!

My Plantar Fasciitis Update

I would like to share with you guys how I prevent my heel pain.  Here's the short term and still working on the long term...

My Plantar Fasciitis is back and probably it's been at least half a year when it started. Once again, I am overweight!!!   It was only this April when I learned how heavy I was.  Same month when I started to let go of my sedentary lifestyle, hmm slowly.  Initially, I did brisk walk,  I can't do jogging cos I also have a problem with my knee.  Then after a while, I am doing home workout instead.  My home workout is courtesy of FitnessBlender.  They have a lots of free home workout.  Go check out their YouTube videos in case you are not familiar yet.

Aside from workout, I bought Vionic sandals that would help me with my heel pain.  Actually, when I was looking for a new sandals, I only plan to buy a new Fitflop.  Then I stumbled upon on this brand which was on sale last March in Takashimaya store. I only wear this outside and this is the only sandals I wear every time I go out.  So far, this really helps with my heel pain.

Another thing that helps with my heel pain is the Pro tec Spiky Massage Ball.  True to its claim, the spiky massage ball is an excellent tool for Plantar Fasciitis.

I have a very long way to go of losing weight.  On a side note, I am trying my very best to eat moderate amount only.  I still eat sweets and what not hihi.

Aja!!

"God is protecting you from the unseen"

This...
This is what I needed.  Just randomly browsing Instagram, then I stumbled upon this quote.  Quite late, but it's okay.  I know in my heart, that "God is protecting me from the unseen."  I truly believe that now.  My thoughts and proven to be true!!

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Oil Treament and more

Good day to all!

Let's talk about hair!  Ever since I gave birth to my first child, my hair became frizzy, dry and dull.  I hated my hair for so long.  I cannot do layered hairstyle anymore.  Worst, I got tons of hair fall and breakage.  I ended up always tying my hair.  It helps when I go to salon, which I do regularly when we were home.  But then, since we live here and find quite expensive, I don't.  I've been trying a lot of shampoo, conditioner and even hair serum to solve my hair problem.

Few years ago,  I stumbled upon Marc Anthony products in Watsons. Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Treatment came to my attention.  Per box, its says...
Combat damage, breakage, dryness, dullness and frizz.  Infused with ultra-light Mediterranean Olive Oil and Argan Oil - the ancestral beauty secret Morocco.  It deeply penetrates to strengthen, protect and condition.  Vitamin E and Shea Butter hydrate and soften.

It is quite expensive for me.  It cost S$18.90 for 50ML.  This is good for few months.  I only use it when I clean my hair.  I shampoo and condition my hair every other day even in humid country.  If the weather is good, I can go until day three.  I apply 3 to 4 drops / pumps on my damp hair from mid to ends.

My hair doesn't feel oily once dried.  It is very light weight.  It's true what it says on the box, but not all.  Well, I don't get frizzy hair.  It improved my hair, no more dryness and dullness.  My hair feels soft.  The argan oil treatment is the reason why I've grown my hair long and I can put it down.  When I go out, I can let my hair down.  I only do my pony tail when I am home.  On the other hand, I don't think it strengthen and reduces breakage.  I still have a lot of hair fall / breakage.

But when I tried their shampoo and conditioner, I feel like my hair fall lessens, perhaps less breakage. And it also helps with the dryness and controls the frizz.  Now I have a layered hair but I don't get frizzy.

I feel it cleanses my hair and condition.  I like the smell too, not strong.   A big plus, it is Sulfate Free and infused with Keratin.   It also claims to protect hair color.

I also tried Strictly Curls Curl Envy Cream and Beach Spray.  I used it to maintain my permed hair before.  The curl envy cream is really good one.  It is also light weight. It really enhanced the curl.  I just apply generous amount on my wet curl hair, massaging and scrunching my curls and I also twist my hair around my fingertip to enhance the curls.  Please note that Marc Anthony Strictly Curls has lotion and a cream, depends on the curl and hair type.

I did a mini haul of Marc Anthony, this lunch.  Watsons have a Member's sale, I got 20 percent off plus five percent off for members.  By the way,  the shampoo and conditioner cost S$17.90 each (reg price).

I would recommend this to anyone who has the same hair problem.

Til next time, laters!! ;-)
