Hotlips Ring

I love this ring!! I really do!  On our get together, my girlfriends visited Solange at Takashimaya.  Finally, I was able to see it in person, touch and even tried it on my finger.  The sales lady (friendly btw)  had it on her finger, prolly she own one.  The ring is so pretty!!!  But the price is too way expensive!!  So it's so impossible for me to own one, sadness.  But I'm still hoping if I could have something like that..yeah cheaper?  Sorry Solange.  Oh where oh where can I find you?

Do you like this ring too?  If you happen to have something like this but affordable ;-)), please please message me (wishing, hoping and praying)! :-)

P.S. images courtesy of Solange :-)

Wooden salt and pepper shakers

Ever since I learned to cook, I would love to have a wooden salt and pepper shakers like this . . .

photo from chefspecialties

Love to see it when I watched food network.  I even include the item on our wedding gift registry at Rustans.  Unfortunately, I didn't got a set.  Our theme was kitchenware.  Now, I still don't have it.  Well, it's my dream to have it, ha ha.  How come I can't buy it till now?! hi hi.  To be honest, I would like have it as a gift rather to buy it myself, lol!  My hubby knows it that I got to have one but dunno how come he don't remember giving this to me every time he's thinking of what to buy for me hehe.  Well the reason I post this, cos this morning he mentioned that now I have my new dream netbook, he remembers he still needs to buy the shakers to complete my dream item :P.

So, I thought of searching for different kind of salt and pepper shakers and found this one, I like the design ;)

Julie & Julia

Julie & JuliaAn overdue post.  I said to myself, if I have a public blog, I would like to have Julie & Julia movie in it.  Yes, like everybody else, I also love the movie.

At first, I'm just interested in the movie because of Meryl Streep.  I like her so much.  Her acting is so likable.  She always portrays her character really very well.  But I both don't know Julia Child and Julie Powell.  I do collect cook books when I was working, sad to say I didn't came across on her book Mastering the Art of French Cooking (2 Volume Set).  Anyhow, I've left my heavy cook books at home and just brought few booklet type abroad.

I enjoyed the movie so much cos its about food & cooking.  I heart food and cooking.  So interesting to see when they eat!  Actually, I like movies when actors really eat, not just playing on utensils.

But almost at the end of the movie, there's a hanging question on why Julia Child hated Julie Powell's blog?  Intriguing huh? Well, it turns out there's a lot more than the movie.  I was quite surprised on  the story behind it.  It seems that what we've felt on Julie Powell's character in the movie is opposite of the real character.  Okay, don't want to rule out the issue on my blog.

With regards to Julia Child, I'm interested to have her books like My Life in France (Illustrated Edition)[Rough-Cut Edge] by Julia Child and  Julia's Kitchen Wisdom: Essential Techniques and Recipes from a Lifetime of Cooking.

The Face Shop Flebeaute White Crystal BB Cream

Flebeaute White Crystal BB Cream SPF 35PA++, 35ml
Dual formula of  brightening serum and lifting complexion enhancer for youthful, even-toned skin.
Potent skin brightening serum with White Pine, Nopal & SepiWhite brightens and lightens skin tone while lifting complexion enhancer with Saffron, Niacinamide and Gingko lifts and firms. A blend of 7 organic herbs and naturally sourced moisture grabbing high polymer retain moisture for a boost of energy and lucid glow.
I recently bought from Face Shop the Hydro Splash BB Cream worth SGD24.90.  Hopefully soon I could post a review.  Actually on my wish list is the Flebeaute White Crystal BB Cream but it cost almost 50SGD.  I bought Hydro Splash because it is affordable and  I've read a quite good reviews.  I can't find any reviews for Flebeaute Crystal BB Cream.  Yeah, they have a tester and tried it on my hand, the coverage was light yet I noticed a glow like - Ok, I need more cream duh... I dunno.  But what was said on the product label fascinates me, so intriguing.

I would like my face to have a glowing effect.  I have a fair, combi/normal and freckled face.  The hydro splash has a very dewy effect and I thought dewy look is nice.  Maybe the glow effect of this Flebeaute BB cream is much better :-D
