A Roller Coaster Moment

Flashback!  I took IELTS, Academic.  My hubby registered me fifteen days before the exam.  I studied for two weeks! Dang!! My life was so stressful, agitated, and so scared that I will fail!!

Thank God!! I passed the exam, my score was unexpected!! My bestie and I was so happy then.  We had plans.

Sad to say, the plans won't happen anytime soon and I don't know if it will push thru anyway.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

Hi there!!  The proof of my palette addiction... I added Too Faced Chocolate Bar, yes!!! I was in love with this palette before it had been released to Singapore, was waiting for it badly.  When it came, I visited Sephora to checked the swatches and what not.  True enough, I really like it.  First impression, I like the packaging, the smell of the chocolate and the shades.  So when I did swatched it, I find not all were buttery and not that pigmented compare to Urban Decay palettes.  Based on the shades, I knew it was a go cos I still don't have those shades and it has more matte.  I thought of it a lot if I'm gonna buy it or not.  The hell, I came back after a few days and finally bought it.

I've been using this over a month now.  I grab this more often than my Naked palettes.  It is likely for everyday make-up.  I find more natural looks in this collection.  My favorite is the White Chocolate, glad it's big.  I also like the matte ones.

But still the best for me are Naked 3 and Naked original.  Too Faced Chocolate Bar would be my third love and lastly the Naked 2.  To date, I haven't use the Tarte CC Matte and Urban Decay Smoked palette. Planning to play with my Tarte soon though.  My apologies for bragging,  but this is my happiness!! Just looking all my palettes is a already a therapy for me.

I believe Too Faced Chocolate Bar is a great palette for everyday use.  On a side note, this is an excellent palette for beginners and for those who love mattes.  A must buy for make up lovers!!! ;-)

Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil, Love or Hate it??

Hello!! I just wanted to share with you my feelings with Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil.  First of, I did not purchased this because of huge interest of the product but my best friend insisted me of buying it, haha!! That's what best friends are for, right?! :-)))  She heard of it by one of our friends, actually I never knew about it that time.  She told me things even the sales girl in charge regarding the benefits so and so. My other friend who are with us also bought the oil, hehe.

So the first few weeks that I tried it I was so excited because it is Tarte!!  It was mid February then, those days were not that hot.  Those days I loved it!! I used 2 drops on my face and a drop on my neck. I love of what it does to my skin, moisturize much!  And during those days since it's new that I found no smell of oil.  During hot days, I only use a drop on my face and neck.  This April where it is so hot, it changed my feelings.  I'm starting not to like it. Though I used it only at night and we turn on air-con during sleep, I still don't like it anymore.  However, it didn't give me break out.  More so, dry patches on my face was gone. Worst part now is, the smell of the oil - it changed.  I don't like the smell on my face, especially on my sleep clothes which I only change more than days, also on my pillow and blanket.  Well last night was nightmare, my hubby said I smell like fried chicken!!! So what now?!!! If that's the case, I'm already thinking not to use it anymore.  Sigh, now I find it expensive cos I'm afraid I won't be using on my face any longer.  I thought since little goes a long way, I might be using the oil forever.  But forever is gone!!

Have you tried this Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil?  Do you like it?

My Favorite Nude Palette

top: UD original Naked; middle: UD Naked 2; bottom:  UD Naked 3

I was into eye shadow when I reached almost 40 years old.  This year I will be 41!!  I never bought single eye shadow.  I went ahead with palette.  I love to try nude palettes.  So my first bought was NYX Nude on Nude. Then few months I remembered when the Urban Decay Naked 2 was first released in Singapore, that's the time I had it. But during those times,  I really don't know how to do eye shadow makeup.  Well to date, I'm still learning. But my crave and collection never stop.  Last quarter of 2013 I bought the original Naked, came December for the Naked 3 - the first day it was lounged in Singapore, I was there at Sephora ION - so excited!!

NYX Nude on Nude

I only tried a few for the NYX, cos those were the days that I don't know how to blend. (You know - blend blend & blend :-p) More so, I do not know the color combination for the shadows?  Even after I bought the Naked 2, I had the hard time using the other shades cos I didn't blend at all!  So the magic is the proper blending, now I know :-P  For this reason, the most used shade in my Naked 2 are Foxy, Tease, and Blackout for simple eyeliner if I have time.  Eyeliner for me is an effort, I need more time to do it.

This year I can say I'm still learning how to blend.  Now I know how to use the eye brushes, yehey!!  By the way, I haven't get to try the brushes from Naked 1 and 3, I always forget to clean them first.  There's a big improvement I must say.  But still a lot of practice!! I get to use other shadows now on all the Naked palettes.  For this reason, I can tell my favorites!!  My top 1 is Naked 3, top 2 is the original Naked and my top 3 goes to Naked 2.  By the way, I am light to medium yellow undertone.  My eyes are kind of protruded, sad to say.  So it is actually hard for me to shape my eyes cos tutorials for protruded eyes are only a few.  But I learned that for this type of eye, I should wear dark shadows on the lid which is difficult too cos it seems to me I have all lid??

Top 2: UD Naked Original

Top 3: UD Naked 2

Here's my random eye make-up for Naked 3 and Original Naked.  Sorry nothing fancy, just a simple makeup ;-) I don't know how to use false eyelashes too!!  Just so you know, I didn't use any filter here, using iPhone.

If you happen to visit my page and read this, I would like to know your favorite nude palettes as well :-)

I'm "Pretty Vacant"

I took part of Luxola's $24 sale on selected items.  I chose Deborah Lippmann Pretty Vacant (original price from Luxola - S$33.00).  I was so excited on the nail polish cos it is my first bottle for this brand.  So happy, the shade is really pretty.  It is like the color of a cement but in a cool way, so nice on my nails ;-p  No top coat needed.   I've learned that it is part of the Punk Rock collection, which was released 2013.

From Deborah Lippmann’s Punk Rock Collection, Pretty vacant is a ghost grey which features an innovative formula that goes on smooth and dries down to a gritty, matted texture. It’s audacious. Revolutionary. Punk. And we’re loving it.

no filter

I saw a slight chip on my over used finger on Day 3 :-))) and the rest on fifth day.

Mini Pizzas

We made mini pizzas for my hubby's birthday.  The recipe was inspired by Dashing Dish via Pinterest.  We love pizza and I thought it was easy to do.  True enough, it is so simple and fun.  It was a family teamwork.  My hubby brushed the muffin pan with butter.  I did the cutting of the tortilla.  Then we did all the layering of the toppings.

Fortunately,  I have my own cutter for my biscuit.

Ingredients made:  (1) tortilla wrap; (2)butter for brushing of muffin pan; (3) preference of pizza or tomato sauce; (3) choice of shredded pizza topping / cheese; and (4) salami of your choice.

Preheat oven to 425F.  Bake until cheese are melted an slightly browned.

Ready to serve :-)

Definitely a keeper!! It was so delicious!! We will make this again :-) Go check her blog for further details.
